Holland America Line's Westerdam has a new stage in the Crow's Nest and 11 additional staterooms after completing a drydock in Singapore.

The bandstand stage in the Crow's Nest will be used for intimate performances and events. To complement it, the room now has an upgraded audio system and enhanced lighting. There is also new flooring.

The 11 new staterooms are in the Ocean View category and are on decks one and seven. Technical spaces were reconfigured to create the staterooms.

Holland America also replaced the carpeting in the Neptune, Signature and Pinnacle suites and in the Verandah staterooms on six decks. The bathrooms in the Verandah staterooms on deck eight were also renovated.

The specialty restaurant Canaletto and the Lido Market have new carpeting and updated furniture, and the Dive-In hot dog and burger joint has a new counter for ordering and picking up food.

Other public areas that received new carpeting include the atrium, elevator lobbies, guest corridors and spa. The atrium also has new furniture.

The Effy Lounge jewelry store was redesigned into an open-concept space with lounge seating and private consultation areas.

The 2004-built ship re-entered service Jan. 18 and is sailing in Asia before crossing the Pacific Ocean for Alaska itineraries.
