Cruise visits to Labadee, Royal Caribbean's private beach destination on Haiti, are canceled for all of 2026. Royal Caribbean previously had extended a pause on Labadee visits through April.

This extension brings the length of Labadee's closure to more than a year and a half. Plus, Royal Caribbean had paused visits for a seven-month period in 2024.

Royal Caribbean said it has already communicated the 2026 closure to guests who had been scheduled to visit Labadee.

When it halted visits last April, there were reports of increased gang activity in the country.

Royal Caribbean has consistently called its decision to avoid Labadee one made "out of an abundance of caution."

Labadee is on Haiti's northern coast. The private destination has beaches, ziplines, an alpine coaster, an aqua park, a market and boating.
