Travel Weekly has named Teri West its senior editor covering the cruise beat.

For the past six years, West has been a reporter for The Jersey Journal, the daily newspaper of Jersey City, N.J., where she covered politics, education, the pandemic and everything in between. She was awarded by the New Jersey Press Association on several occasions, including three first-place awards in 2024 in the categories of business writing, news writing and government writing.
"Teri has demonstrated a real talent for clear and accurate business reporting," said Travel Weekly editor in chief Arnie Weissmann. "The cruise beat is critically important to our audience, and we’re delighted to have found someone who we feel confident will bring important insights to our readers."
Previously, West was a reporter for the Manhasset Times and Roslyn Times in New York, where she received an honorable mention for election and politics coverage in 2019 from the New York Press Association.
She holds a journalism degree from the University of Maryland.
