Tauck revealed names for river ships coming to France and Portugal and five new Europe cruises, including ones with six-day itineraries.

The Saudade will be a sister ship to the Andorinha, sailing the Douro in Portugal. The Reverie will be a sister ship to the Serene, sailing the Seine.

The company will introduce a six-day river cruise in late 2026 and expand the offering in 2027. The cruises will happen mostly during the shoulder season and are designed for travelers with tight schedules.

"We're seeing extraordinary growth across our river portfolio, and that inspires us to find new ways for guests to experience Tauck," said Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh. "River cruising continues to be one of the most popular ways to experience Tauck for the first time, and with these new shorter itineraries, we can now offer that exceptional entry point to guests with limited time."

The six-day Essence of the Seine will travel roundtrip from Paris on the Reverie, featuring a visit to Normandy, cider and Calvados tasting in Vernon and an exclusive gala at a historic chateau.

Essence of the Danube, also a six-day cruise, will cruise between Budapest and Vienna on the Joy. Passengers will visit Bratislava, attend a gala dinner at Vienna's Palais Pallavicini and do a wine tasting in Durnstein.

Tauck highlighted its commitment to the Douro, where it says "demand remains exceptionally strong." Due to such strong demand, the company opened reservations for 2027 Douro sailings.

The six-day Essence of the Douro travels from Porto to Barca d'Alva on the Saudade, where passengers will tour Portugal's wine country. They will attend a cocktail-making workshop, bike through the countryside and have dinner at a waterfront restaurant.

Porto Prelude: Cruising the Douro will bring passengers on a 10-day itinerary with multiple nights in Porto. Travelers will hike through vineyards, enjoy port wine tastings and attend a Tauck exclusive event in a historic quinta.

The 11-day Exploring the Douro, Plus Madrid blends the Douro Valley with Spain. On the Andorinha, passengers will embark on guided tours of Porto and Salamanca, sample port in Vila Nova de Gaia and wrap up their trip with three nights in Madrid.
