Samara Karoo Reserve, a private game reserve in South Africa's Great Karoo, has introduced an all-inclusive package for 2025-26 that counts complimentary domestic flights and transfers among its perks for qualifying stays.
Home to three distinct camps, Karoo Lodge, The Manor exclusive-use villa, and Plains Camp, Samara's all-inclusive offering covers luxury accommodation, all meals and beverages, twice-daily game drives, bush walks, cheetah tracking, San rock art excursions, children's programming and hands-on conservation activities such as the planting of spekbooms, a native tree to South Africa.
Travelers booking four nights or more receive complimentary flights from Johannesburg or Cape Town to Port Elizabeth plus return road transfers to the reserve.
Renovations and debuts
The Manor villa is undergoing a full renovation this fall, adding a gym with wilderness views and an expanded indigenous garden designed to attract birdlife and pollinators. In December, Samara will open a new bush spa at Karoo Lodge, offering open-air treatments overlooking a waterhole. Spa therapies will use Healing Earth products, with a focus on sustainable, nature-based wellness.
For travelers seeking additional cultural and scientific experiences, the newly opened Karoo Origins Fossil Centre in the nearby town of Graaff-Reinet offers access to the world's largest public collection of Karoo fossils, including specimens unique to the region and dating back over 250 million years.
All-inclusive rates start at about $1,150 per person per night, double, with a two-night minimum stay required. For reservations, contact reservations@samara.co.za or visit www.samara.co.za.
