Riviera Travel will dedicate an entire river ship to solo travelers beginning in 2027. The river cruise line says it is the first to devote a vessel to travelers cruising alone.
The George Eliot will sail the Danube, Rhine and Moselle rivers.
Stuart Milan, Riviera's president of North America, said the move is "redefining solo travel."
"The launch of this first-of-its-kind program is a prime example of the way we've continued adapting our business to meet the changing needs of travelers," he said.
Riviera launched solo land tours in 2017 and debuted some solo river cruises the following year. Today, the line's departure dates for solo cruises are in the spring and fall -- lesser-traveled seasons -- but the dedicated solo ship will enable travelers to cruise during peak dates.
The George Eliot will sail four itineraries, all seven nights. The ship will be able to accommodate 68 solo passengers. Prices start at $3,449.
"The Blue Danube for Solo Travelers" will travel roundtrip from Budapest, taking travelers to Vienna, Salzburg, Durnstein, Bratislava and Esztergom.
"Rhine Cruise to Switzerland for Solo Travelers" will begin in Cologne, Germany. From there, travelers will visit Koblenz, Rudesheim, Speyer, Strasbourg, Breisach and Lucerne. The ship will cruise through the Rhine Gorge.
"Rhine and Moselle River Cruise for Solo Travelers" will travel roundtrip from Cologne, visiting Cochem, Trier, Bernkastel, Koblenz and Rudesheim.
"Rhine, Strasbourg and Heidelberg River Cruise for Solo Travelers" also will operate roundtrip from Cologne. Passengers will visit Koblenz, Mainz, Heidelberg, Strasbourg and Rudesheim.
