Oceania Cruises christened the Oceania Allura on Nov. 13 in Miami as the ship readies for its first winter in the Caribbean.

Serving as godparents were six chefs who have been named Best New Chef by Oceania partner Food & Wine: Tavel Bristol-Joseph, Katie Button, Calvin Eng, Aisha Ibrahim, George Mendes and Lawrence "LT" Smith.

Speaking during the ceremony were Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings chief luxury officer Jason Montague, Oceania Cruises chief commercial officer Nathan Hickman and Food & Wine publisher Tom Bair.

The Allura is Oceania's eighth ship and joined the fleet in July. It is the second ship in the Allura class and a sister to the Oceania Vista, which debuted in 2023.

Miami will be the Allura's winter homeport. It will sail the Mediterranean next summer.
