NH Collection Hotels & Resorts marked its debut in Palermo, Sicily, with the opening of the NH Collection Palermo Palazzo Sitano.
The 86-room boutique hotel, housed in an aristocratic building on the central Via Vittorio Emanuele, is surrounded by old palaces and churches and is near the Porto della Cala, the Castello a Mare and the Vucciria market and the Quattro Canti.
There are five guestroom and suite categories, some of which feature original cast-iron balconies overlooking old town and ceilings with painted frescoes.
The restaurant is located in a modern, glass structure with arches, columns and large windows, inspired by the nearby San Francisco Convent.
A lobby bar opens directly onto Via Bottai, and business facilities include spaces for up to 56 people. Amenities also include a ground-floor sauna and steam bath and a fitness club.
The property is the brand's second hotel opening in Italy in 2025, following the recent inauguration of the NH Collection Alagna Mirtillo Rosso in the Pennine Alps, which caters to the mountain and family hotel segment. It is NH Collection's second property in Sicily; it also operates the NH Collection Taormina.
