Nevis is known for its quiet pace, strong sense of heritage and boutique approach to hospitality. For travel advisors, this authenticity is often the draw of the 36-square-mile island. Clients looking for something different from high-rise resorts and cruise-ship bustle find it here, in the shadow of Nevis Peak.

This fall, Nevis is offering some fresh ways to introduce clients to the island.

Montpelier Nevis will unveil renovated guestrooms designed by Los Angeles-based Wilson Studio. The update, which will debut in October, is part of a longer trajectory of change at the historical hotel, which is situated on a former sugar estate. The redesign brings brighter Caribbean hues, contemporary furniture and playful touches like sculptural mirrors made from repurposed textiles.

The project also sets the tone for Montpelier's 60th anniversary in 2026. In recent years, the hotel has refreshed its private beach club, rebranded its fine-dining restaurant and expanded its sports facilities to include pickleball.

Across the island, the Four Seasons Resort Nevis is leaning into culinary travel. In September, Food Network personality Jeff Mauro will appear for two days of events tied to National Heroes Day and Independence celebrations (Sept. 16 and 19, respectively) in St. Kitts and Nevis, including a beach party at Four Seasons' Kastawey Beach Bar. In November, James Beard Award winner Rocco DiSpirito returns for his second Thanksgiving residency at the resort, a program that blends his signature cuisine with Nevisian ingredients through demos, lunch and restaurant takeovers.

Changing seasons, changing minds

For many travelers, Nevis is considered a splurge. It's seen as a place for honeymooners, anniversaries or milestone trips. But Pheon Jones, director of sales and marketing for the Nevis Tourism Authority, insists that the equation can change with the season. From May through November, for instance, nightly rates on the island drop by as much as 50%. At Four Seasons, a room that might cost $1,200 in January starts closer to $700 in July.

"This makes the island a strong value proposition for travelers looking to enjoy the same pristine beaches, outdoor adventures, and dining experiences without the crowds," Jones said.

For advisors, this means two distinct approaches. Peak season, from mid-December to mid-April, is best for clients seeking a lively atmosphere, when the island's social calendar is at its busiest. The low season offers privacy, quieter beaches and easier access to accommodations all at lower rates.

What does not change, Jones said, are the experiences that await on Nevis. Clients can hike to the summit of Nevis Peak with a local guide, soak in the centuries-old Bath Hotel hot springs or explore the island's botanical gardens. Pinney's Beach remains the heart of social life, where eSunshine's Bar serves its famed Killer Bee run punch. History is also close at hand, from the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton in Charlestown to Montpelier Estate.

Jones described these experiences as central to the island's appeal. "Nevis delivers an experience that is refreshing and exclusive. It's not about mass tourism. It's about creating stories clients will take home and remember," he said.

To encourage trade engagement, the Nevis Tourism Authority is running a booking incentive through Oct. 31. Advisors who book clients for travel through April will be entered into a drawing for a four-night stay at the Golden Rock Inn, including airfare. The authority also continues to offer familiarization trips, training sessions in North America and marketing resources, including imagery and sample itineraries.
