RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Northstar Travel Group, parent company of Travel Weekly and other B2B media and event titles in the travel space, announced the completion of its acquisition by JTB Corp. from investment funds managed by EagleTree Capital and its co-investors.
Northstar will operate as a wholly owned, independent subsidiary of JTB and will continue to be led by its existing management team, including CEO Jason Young.
Shinji Kamio, who has played key roles at JTB, including leading its European business and most recently serving as the executive officer of JTB research and consulting, will assume the role of chairman at Northstar. Mio Kawamoto, who holds more than 25 years of experience in global tourism business at JTB, has been named chief integration officer.
