JetBlue, already the largest carrier in Puerto Rico in terms of seats flown, will add five routes from San Juan next March.

The airline will serve San Juan year-round from Philadelphia; Buffalo, N.Y.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and the Virginia cities of Richmond and Norfolk. With the additions, JetBlue will fly to 22 cities from San Juan.

Jacksonville flights will operate four times per week beginning March 13. Philadelphia flights will operate daily beginning March 26. Richmond flights will operate three times per week, also beginning March 26. JetBlue will operate both San Juan-Norfolk and San Juan-Buffalo four times per week beginning March 27.

This month, JetBlue is flying 17 San Juan routes, according to Cirium flight data, second to the 20 offered by Frontier. But JetBlue is operating more than double the flights of Frontier and offering 77% more seats.
