Hyatt is expanding its Alila brand into Latin America and the Caribbean with the opening of Alila Mayakoba on the Riviera Maya, now accepting reservations for stays beginning Feb. 12.

The five-star resort will be the fourth Alila property in the Americas, joining three California properties: Alila Ventana Big Sur, Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas and Alila Napa Valley.

Located within the 148-acre Mayakoba development, Alila Mayakoba will feature 182 guestrooms, suites and villas, including 72 suites designed with spa-inspired bathrooms, soaking tubs and interior gardens. Select ground-floor accommodations will include private plunge pools.

The resort's wellness offering will incorporate indoor and outdoor treatment spaces, meditation gardens, communal hydrotherapy areas and a traditional temazcal. Programming will include experiences led by local practitioners and Mayan cultural experts.

Food and beverage concepts will emphasize locally inspired cuisine, including a beachfront restaurant, beach club, coffee shop, lobby lounge and multiple signature dining venues.
