Holland America Line and Pan Am have partnered to create a cruise that follows the original routes taken by Pan Am's Clipper planes, in honor of the 100th anniversary of Pan Am's first flight in 1927.

Clipper planes were known as flying boats because of their ability to land on water.

The 28-day sailing on the Zuiderdam will begin in Miami on Oct. 30, 2027, and call at 18 ports, eight of which were Pan Am destinations. Those include Nassau, Bahamas; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; St. John's; Castries, St. Lucia; Port of Spain, Trinidad; Colon, Panama; and Progreso, Mexico.

The sailing will feature themed meals, décor and history-related programming.
