Andrea Zelinski covers Mexico for Travel Weekly; she previously covered the cruise industry for the publication from early 2022 through early 2025.

Prior to her time at Travel Weekly, she spent the previous 15 years as a political reporter, most recently covering Texas. She has written for Texas Monthly, the Houston Chronicle and The Associated Press. Her work has also appeared in Bustle.

She is an avid traveler who "thru-hiked" the Appalachian Trail in 2020 and the Pacific Crest Trail in 2025.
